Job overview
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Endoscopy Services for a highly motivated, enthusiastic and experienced Administration Support officer based at Freeman Hospital.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate excellent communication, organisational and interpersonal skills, as liaison with other disciplines and patients is an integral part of this role.
Main duties of the job
The applicant will be required to provide and maintain a high-quality service to co-ordinate the endoscopy booking system and ensure all patient appointments are sent out in a timely manner in accordance with the national diagnostic waiting times. The applicant will also be required to perform other clerical duties within the service.
It is desirable that applicants have experience and knowledge of medical NHS settings, patient processes and booking systems. Applicants should be well-motivated, able to work under pressure, accurately and efficiently, both on their own and as part of a team.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
* The primary focus of the role will be to be part of a team providing comprehensive and efficient administration and clerical services to the Trust wide Endoscopy services and to organise and co-ordinate the endoscopy booking process in line with national NHS diagnostic targets.

Qualifications
* Good standard of English Language / Maths at GCSE or equivalent
* NVQ Level 3 or equivalent experience
* Clerical related qualification e.g. RSA II Typing or equivalent
Knowledge
* General Clerical experience, knowledge of Microsoft Office
* Experience of NHS computerised systems / PAS
Skills
* Good Communication Skills
* Good Organisational Skills and Ability to prioritise workload
* Good interpersonal skills
