Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer
Location: Basingstoke
Salary: £42,000 + Plenty of Overtime
Hours: Days Monday to Friday
PRS are currently recruiting for a Multi-Skilled Building Services Engineer to be based in a commercial building in Basingstoke. The successful candidate will be required to carry out planned and reactive building maintenance alongside the maintenance team on site. The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of Facilities Maintenance and a proven track record in Electrical building maintenance. In return, the company is offering a competitive salary of £45,000 + Plenty of Overtime.

Duties:
* Complete PPM tasks in line with SFG20 as per the yearly planner to the HVAC equipment within our contracts, for example but not limited to: VAV – Both electric and pneumatic AHUs – Filters, motors, belts and all safety and temperature equipment, Pumps, Sprinklers – weekly testing, Calorifiers/water heaters and associated safety devices including pressure vessels, Lighting & Emergency Lighting, Plumbing tasks (Ball Valves, Toilet Systems, Control Valves, taps).
* To carry out reactive works when requested within an acceptable timeframe.
* Ensure that sub-contractors used carry out work in accordance with company instructions.
* To make sure the shared plant rooms and other areas used by SFM are clean and tidy.
* To carry out overtime when needed to complete compliance PPM at the agreed out of hours works time on site.
* To conform to company Health & Safety policy.
* Arranging and managing extra personnel as required/provided for training, extra works, project work, etc.
* To make sure all site paperwork is kept up to date and sent to office at required frequency.
* Audits completed and action points highlighted to be resolved by yourself or escalated as required to the relevant persons.
* Provide clear and detailed information when quotations are to be provided.
* To inform the Contracts Manager of any issues or potential issues which are or may be relevant and may escalate.
* To provide any information requested by Contracts Manager or office.
* To provide reports where needed for the PPM servicing, within an acceptable timeframe after the servicing.
* Responsible for clear and accurate reporting of site conditions to the Contracts Manager.
* Ensure that the appearance and manner appropriately represent the company and those of the engineers you are responsible for. This is to include all PPE and issued uniform.
Requirements:
* Trade trained with ideally 3 years’ experience in the building services.
* City & Guilds Qualified Electrical Level 3 equivalent.
* Has the will and desire to succeed and learn.
