As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a pivotal role managing the key financial operations for a College and some Professional Services areas across the University. Reporting directly to the Assistant Director – Financial Planning, Reporting and Business Partnering, you will work closely with key stakeholders such as College Deans and Directors of Services as well as your direct team to shape and deliver the strategic direction of the business unit by setting budgets and aligning resources to the University’s current and future needs.
Key Responsibilities:
* Direction line management of a finance business partnering team
* Production of monthly management accounts and associated forecasting
* Construction of the annual budget and 3-year rolling plans
* Maintaining staffing establishments
* Student number modelling, analysis and forecasting
* Review of the academic workload allocation model in relation to strategic objectives and resources
* Contribution to the delivery of the University statutory returns, including the financial statements and accounts
About You:
We are seeking an ambitious and accomplished Finance Business Partner with a passion for collaboration and strategic impact. You will bring:
* A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA, CIMA, ACA) and significant post-qualification experience.
* Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into actionable insights.
* Excellent leadership and team management abilities to inspire and develop your team.
* Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, with a track record of building successful stakeholder relationships.

This is a full-time, permanent post working 37 hours per week. This post is available on a job share basis for applicants wishing to work part-time.
