Position Overview: The organization is seeking a dynamic and experienced Deputy Hospital Director to join its established learning disability and autism service in Grimsby. The Deputy Hospital Director will play a pivotal role in supporting the Hospital Director in overseeing the day-to-day operations of the facility, ensuring the delivery of high-quality care, adherence to regulatory standards, and the promotion of a positive and inclusive environment for both residents and staff.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Operational Leadership: The Deputy Hospital Director will collaborate with the Hospital Director to provide strategic direction and leadership in the overall management of the hospital. They will assist in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and protocols to ensure efficient and effective operations.
2. Staff Management: The Deputy Hospital Director will support the recruitment, training, supervision, and performance management of clinical and non-clinical staff members. They will foster a culture of teamwork, professionalism, and continuous learning within the hospital team.
3. Clinical Governance: The Deputy Hospital Director will ensure compliance with regulatory requirements, quality standards, and best practices in healthcare delivery. They will monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of clinical processes and interventions, implementing improvements as necessary.
4. Patient Care: The Deputy Hospital Director will champion person-centered care approaches that prioritize the individual needs, preferences, and goals of residents. Qualifications and Experience:
8. Bachelor’s degree in Nursing,
9. Previous experience in a senior management or leadership role within a healthcare or social care setting, preferably in learning disability and autism services.
10. Sound knowledge of relevant legislation, regulations, and standards governing healthcare provision in the UK, including CQC requirements.
11. Proven ability to lead and inspire teams, drive organizational change, and promote a culture of excellence and innovation.
12. Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
