Job summary We have an exciting opportunity for a full time post within the mental health access service for Children and young people in Suffolk. We are seeking qualified Practitioner (mental health nurse/ occupational therapist/ social worker) to join our dynamic, young person focused team. The posts will initially be based in the Emotional Wellbeing Hub (EWH) and you will be a part of our exciting service transformation. The service provides the single point of access to mental health and emotional wellbeing support across Suffolk. The Emotional Wellbeing Hub is based within Endeavour House in Suffolk and is part of a wider Early Intervention pathway. The service currently operates between the hours of 8am-8pm, Monday to Friday. This post will be required to work 37.5 hours within these operating hours and dependent upon the needs of the service. This is an exciting opportunity to support change and development of our new outreach and wellbeing mental health service area which is a locality-based model developing teams to intervene early as part of our whole system mental health approach embedding the iThrive framework. Main duties of the job The Emotional Wellbeing Hub Service provides a single point of access to children, young people, families and professionals over the phone or by other digital means, ensuring that all enquiries receive an appropriate offer of support, with the aim of simplifying access to mental health and wellbeing services, early help teams and the voluntary sector. We are looking for candidates who have previous experience of working with children/adolescents and young adults within the mental health field or equivalent settings, who can demonstrate an excellent understanding of the mental health needs of this client group. We are looking for candidates with experience of supervising and supporting team members and who has sound clinical judgement and good understanding of safeguarding and risk assessment. Previous experience in assessment and formulation is essential. You will be part of our multi-disciplinary team whose vision and goals are to provide the best possible care and outcomes for the young people and their families that we work with. Making sure we deliver a high quality of care is of paramount importance to our service. As a community-based service, it is essential to build effective relationships with partner agencies who offer support and interventions to the children and young people who are supported through our service.
