Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Chef de Partie to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. As a Chef de Partie, you will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals in a fast-paced pub environment, ensuring that all dishes are cooked to perfection and presented beautifully. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the efficiency of the kitchen while adhering to food safety standards.
Responsibilities
1. Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and presentation standards.
2. Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring.
3. Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, including workstations and equipment.
4. Follow food safety guidelines to ensure all meals are prepared in a safe and hygienic manner.
5. Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during peak hours.
6. Help with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of shortages.
7. Participate in training new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
8. Ensure that all cooking equipment is properly maintained and cleaned after use.
Qualifications
1. Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or in a similar culinary role is preferred.
2. Strong knowledge of kitchen operations, meal preparation techniques, and food safety regulations.
3. Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well within a team environment.
5. A passion for culinary arts and willingness to learn new cooking methods and recipes.
6. Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: £13.50-£17.50 per hour
