As a Materials Operative you will be responsible for assisting the materials team with the control of goods inwards, delivery booking, goods receiving and any stock discrepancies.

Accountabilities
10. Assist the Materials team with the control of goods inwards, delivery booking, goods receiving and any stock discrepancies.
11. Prepare warranty parcels and arrange collection with courier.
12. Maintain the safe and efficient storage of material and ensure a good level of housekeeping. Carry out inventory checks on a regular basis to ensure correct stock levels, including perpetual checks as required.
13. Input the materials data into the company’s system to maintain material stock levels and delivery information.
14. Maintain the material returns as required, items quarantined or returned to stock as dictated by business needs.
15. Assist, when required, with the purchasing of materials, spares, equipment, tools and associated services ensuring on time delivery.
16. Carry out the role in a safe and responsible manner using forklift, crane or other company equipment.
17. Assist with the management of the calibration process and ensure all tools have been calibrated to the correct standard.
18. Learn new skills in accordance with Hitachi’s new business demands as required.
19. Liaison with Hitachi and external
20. personnel as required to complete the duties of the post.
21. To carry out any additional duties as required.

25. Position holder must be able to interface effectively with all levels of personnel both within and outside the company.
Desirable (not essential)
Licences / Competences
26. Depot Induction (training will be provided)
27. Manual handling techniques
28. Current and valid counterbalance FLT licence (training will be provided)
29. Current and valid overhead crane certificate (training will be provided)
30. Intermediate IT skills – typically Word, Excel, Equinox, SAP
31. Clean valid driving license
