Role: Children's Night Care Supervisor
Sanctuary Personnel, an innovative and committed recruitment agency, has a new permanent position available for a Children's Night Care Supervisor to work full time based in Wellingborough.
The salary for this permanent Children's Night Care Supervisor job is up to £21,054 per annum.
Responsibilities:
1. Participate in handover sessions with day staff to ensure that the anticipated or likely behavior of clients' Care Plans can be handled correctly.
2. Check the premises to ensure security.
3. Refer urgent telephone calls/incidents requiring immediate attention to the member of staff who is on sleeping-in duty in the home so that appropriate corrective action can be taken.
4. Maintain case records and log routine telephone calls and incidents so that day staff are in possession of full information when undertaking their duties.
5. Undertake domestic duties (e.g. laundry, food preparation) to assist with the routine operation of the Unit where assessed as practical by the Unit Manager.
6. Pursue appropriate staff development training programs, which enable the post holder to undertake their duties in a professional manner, and in accordance with Unit/Departmental Policies, including attendance at staff meetings.
7. Undertake admission arrangements in accordance with departmental policies to cope with emergency situations.
8. Carry out any other duties which fall within the broad spirit, scope, and purpose of this job description and which are commensurate with the grade of the post.
9. Demonstrate awareness/understanding of equal opportunities and other people's behavioral, physical, social, and welfare needs.
10. Ensure that reasonable care is always taken for the health, safety, and welfare of yourself and others, and comply with the policies and procedures relating to health and safety.
Requirements of this job:
1. Desirable to have the Level 3 Residential Child Care qualification or equivalent, or a willingness to complete in post.
2. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
3. Ability to work as part of a team.
4. An understanding of the needs of looked after young people.
5. Knowledge of relevant regulations, legislation, and statutory guidance.
6. An understanding of intervention strategies.
7. Enhanced DBS clearance.
