Vehicle Technician

37.5 hour week - 3 Days per Week – 12.5 hour shifts, rotating
£35,000 Basic, uncapped Bonus
Role overview
We are looking for a passionate Service Technician to repair and service our vehicles to the highest standards possible. You will be working as part of a team to ensure customer satisfaction and repeat business for the retailer.

Key responsibilities
Your key responsibilities as a Service Technician will be:
· To receive work from the workshop controller and carry out related checks, administration and protection routines
· To assess tool and equipment requirements and communicate any related issues
· To service and repair all vehicles
· To report on all additional repair requirements as they are identified
· To make written and verbal reports on service and repair activity to the workshop controller in order to obtain authorisation
· To complete all administrative procedures (including warranty) relating to service and repair work
· To maintain a clean, tidy and safe working environment
· To undertake vehicle road tests when necessary
· To assist with development and training of other technicians
· To attend meetings and training programmes as required
· To perform other duties in support of other team members as required

About You
As a Service Technician, you will ideally have the following skills and attributes:
· You will be a Level 3 qualified vehicle technician ideally with VAG group background, but this is not essential
· Excellent problem-solving skills and strong attention to detail
· A strong customer service focus with the ability to communicate technical information to a non-technical audience
· Outstanding organisation and time management skills with the ability to work to deadlines
