I am actively seeking a talented and motivated Graduate Structural Engineer to join a successful and busy Multidisciplinary Structural Engineering Consultancy in Bishop's Stortford. Key Responsibilities for this Graduate Structural Engineer include:
1. Assist in the design and analysis of structural systems for a range of building types, from residential to commercial.
2. Work closely with senior engineers to ensure the successful completion of projects, from concept to delivery.
3. Produce and review design calculations, drawings, and specifications.
4. Perform site visits to monitor progress and provide technical support.
5. Collaborate with other disciplines, clients, and contractors to achieve project goals.
6. Assist in preparing reports and presentations for clients and stakeholders.
7. Contribute to the development of innovative solutions and strategies for structural challenges.
Qualifications and Skills for this Graduate Structural Engineering role:
1. A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering (or equivalent).
2. 3-4 years of experience in structural engineering, preferably in building design.
3. Strong understanding of structural analysis and design software (e.g., Tekla, AutoCAD, Revit, or similar).
4. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
5. Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
6. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
7. Knowledge of relevant codes and standards (e.g., Eurocodes, British Standards).
8. A desire to learn and develop within the structural engineering field.
