Job Title: Lead Move on Worker
Location: London - closest station: Vauxhall
Assignment: 2-3 months, with the possibility of rolling on a monthly basis
Rota: Monday to Friday - 09:00-17:00
Pay: £17.95 + holiday pay = £20.12 or £22.50 via umbrella
Service overview: Homeless Assessment hub in central London! In this role you will be one of the experienced heads on the Move on team that supports clients at the 28 bed assessment hub, readying them for move on and helping clients to obtain longer term accommodation. The service supports clients who have been referred by the local authority and outreach teams. The aim is to assess clients, provide support for their needs and find accommodation for them within a 28-day period. This is not always possible due to the complex nature of move on, but the service plays a pivotal role in the lives of many homeless people.
The successful candidate will:
1. Responsible for the continual improvement of service effectiveness, ensuring that service users or internal customers receive a high-quality outcome-focused service.
2. Responsible for maximising the contribution of all workers (paid and unpaid) within the team to the overall effectiveness of the service.
3. Support staff, trainees, students, and volunteers, including appropriate action to address problematic standards of performance or conduct in accordance with service procedures. Ultimately this will sit with the manager but as an experienced worker, you will be supporting the manager with highlighting concerns and supporting the team with tricky cases.
4. Responsible for supporting the project and support workers including key-work, case recording, face to face work, group work, advice giving, advocacy and other interpersonal work.
5. Shared responsibility for the operational management, this will be shared across yourself, another lead worker, and the service manager.
6. Responsible for achieving, monitoring and contributing to the review of the performance targets and standards for the team.
7. Responsible for the provision of timely and accurate information, reports and analysis to Lead Manager and Area Manager.
8. Responsible for the promotion of best practice, including person-centred support planning and effective casework management.
9. Responsible for maintaining good working relationships with other teams as appropriate.
10. Responsible for representing the service at other external meetings as required.
11. Responsible for meeting the targets in the areas of Education, Training and Employment / move on of the service users /and other Key Performance Indicators.

1. Dogs allowed in service - all safe & friendly.
2. No smoking service but clients do smoke in rooms - bit of an ongoing battle!
