Investing in future talent is so important to our business and our fabulous Early Talent Team are now on the lookout for a Co-ordinator to join them to support the recruitment of our future generation of lawyers.
Home-grown talent is at the heart of our recruitment strategy and as an Early Talent professional there is nothing more rewarding than being able to positively impact someone at the start of their career, whether that is a first step or a career change. Our Early Talent team are integral to identifying, developing and supporting our future generation of lawyers; working with schools to inspire young people to consider a legal career, recruiting our future trainee solicitors and working closely with them to support their development and wellbeing through to qualification. We might be a touch biased, but we believe that we deliver a fantastic programme – not only do our clients tell us this, but a number of our partners have progressed from trainees in the firm to the current leaders of our business.
So what will you be doing?
We're looking for someone who shares in our passion for recruiting the very best talent and you'll be doing this in a number of ways, including:
* Organising various events to help promote the firm as an employer of choice for graduates and apprentices
* Co-ordinating the annual recruitment processes for graduates and apprentices, liaising with candidates, assessors and the Early Talent Team to ensure we run a robust and engaging process
* Leading on the organisation of virtual assessment centres through our digital assessment centre platform, and providing support to the assessors and candidates on the day
* Managing all administrative processes for the team, constantly looking for ways to be more efficient and effective
But it's not all about us, to be honest we're more interested in you. We're open minded about your background but it's likely that you'll have gained some administrative experience within a recruitment or HR team. However, if you're looking for your first step into an HR role, we'd also love to hear from you so that we can tell you all about the great opportunities for career development within our team.
At the heart of all that we do as a team is candidate and employee experience, and it's important that you share that ethos too. Much of your role will be spent liaising with candidates or internal teams, whether that's trainee solicitors, apprentices, supervisors or partners, so an ability to build relationships and communicate effectively is essential. Given the nature of the role, you'll need to be highly organised and efficient, but as organised as you are, not everything always goes to plan in the world of recruitment so an ability to adapt and think on your feet is crucial. We're a busy team, but we're friendly and supportive, and we know that in order to deliver for the business we have to be able to operate effectively as one team. We work with some fantastic people, we enjoy what we do and we have a bit of fun along the way. But importantly, we're made to feel that we're really contributing to the success of this business.
To be successful in this role, you'll need as a minimum:
* Experience of working in an administrative role within an Early Talent or HR team, or in an event co-ordination/PA role
* Proven experience of working on multiple priorities with completing deadlines
* Experience of communicating with stakeholders at all levels
