We have a fantastic opportunity for a QA Auditor to join our Factory.
Although this role will be Monday to Friday 05.45 – 14.00 the position will require the successful candidate to work the following rotational shift pattern for an unknown commissioning period, determined by project delivery.
Week 1: Mon, Tues, Wed & Thurs 06.00 –18.00
Week 2: Mon, Tues & Wed 06.00 – 18.00
The successful candidate will be responsible for implementing the quality and process audit service to the factory. To ensure the objectives and procedures detailed in the quality manual are achieved and to ensure the safety, legality and quality of the product are adhered to and maintained.
An overview of the role below:
To assist in the operation of the QA function by maintaining satisfactory standards of performance with regard to food safety, hygiene, discipline and health and safety and to bring all the issues arising from these duties to the attention of the Senior QA or Site QA Manager.
Auditing:
1. Process Audit checks
2. Line sign off when product change over from meat to veg
3. Line sign off when product change over from meat species to meat species
4. Line sign off when product change over from different CFC varieties (Wingates)
5. Glass & Plastic Audits
6. Foreign Body Audits
7. Ingredient shelf life monitoring
8. Probe & Scale Calibration
Taste Panels:
9. Carrying out panel either on line or in the kitchen. Reporting any failures.
10. Washouts
11. Positive Release
12. Following up on any taste panel issues by conducting re-sampling and blocking stock
13. End of Life sampling
14. QAS and consistency panels as per schedule.
15. Assisting the department/factory/SSF in preparing for customer visits/audits
16. Assisting NPD in attending factory trials
17. Carrying out Raw Material intake checks.
18. Conducting CCP checks and/or verifying CCP checks have been completed by production
Non-Conformances:
19. Issuing and reporting non conformances
20. Placing non-conforming stock on hold
21. Issuing concessions (with the guidance from Senior QA /Site QA Manager)
22. To ensure the hold procedure is followed correctly for any non-conforming raw materials and finished product.
23. Collating, auditing and archiving production process paperwork, ensuring document control is correct
24. Assisting the Senior QA in training and education of production staff with regards to food hygiene
25. and GMP
26. To prepare swabs as per schedule ready for the hygiene team to complete
27. To complete hygiene verification swabs as per schedule
Candidates will ideally have experience within the Food Industry with good auditing skills.
Excellent organisation skills are key with HACCP knowledge.
