As the Finance Manageryou will lead on all day to day finance operations and be a sparring partner to the Finance Director, leading the team and being instrumental in the management of this department. This is a full-time role based on-site in Oxfordshire.
What will you do?
* Overseeing the account’s function, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management– working closely with Finance Director and FP&A Manager.
* Define and develop our internal financial processes and controls, always thriving for better ways of working.
* Participating in monthly reporting, taking on our month-end process that incorporates P&Ls (variance analysis), Balance sheet (reconciliations) and cashflow (creditor and debtor management). Oversee and review the month-end process and ensure timely and accurate reporting.
* Supporting your business partners in building accurate and timely forecasts.
* Help the Finance Director in the new system development and finance integration across board for an efficient end-to-end accounting practice.
* Overseeing the annual audit process and ensure all HMRC filings are completed in a timely and accurate manner. Managing external relationships with banks, auditors, tax advisors and payroll providers.
* Manage operational and compliance matters.
* Being an ambassador for our club who embodies our values and commitment to our team.
* Ensuring that company and statutory standards and legislations are adhered to, so that our home, members and colleagues are always kept safe.
* Suggesting changes or improvements to increase accuracy, efficiency, cost reductions and improving our member experience.
* Overseeing creation and development of Finance Department SOP’s and standards
Who are we looking for?
* At least 4+ years proven finance experience at a managerial level, preferably within a luxury hospitality business or similar.
* Proficient user of excel, Sun or equivalent accounting packages, MIS reporting tools.
* You are an inspiring leader who relishes taking responsibility for running finance departments.
* A balance between a methodical and process-driven approach and flexibility and creativity when it comes to meeting deadlines and finding solutions.
* Proven technical skills with a strong understanding of best practice in the realm of financial reporting.
* Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to colleagues, senior management, and coming front of house to talk to Members.
* Part or fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA).
* Excellent time-management skills; comfortable prioritising what is important during busy periods.
* A genuine passion for hospitality and hosting.
