West London NHS exciting opportunity has arisen for a Clinical Team Leader on 2 wards Robin Ward (female Acute) and Kingfisher Ward (Male Acute). This is an ideal opportunity for a suitably qualified and experienced Band 5 Nurse seeking to broaden their leadership skills and supervisory experience on an inpatient setting.

The post-holder must demonstrate a good understanding of leadership skills and motivate staff to deliver the core objectives for the trust, whilst supporting individual development within the team.

Main duties of the job
As the manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the delivery of nursing care to patients on the ward, ensuring high standards of care are met. Your role involves providing strong leadership to patients and staff, managing day-to-day operations, and striving for continuous improvement in care quality. You will also maintain a high standard of the ward environment in accordance with CQC guidelines.
You will lead a team comprising qualified and unqualified staff, as well as admin personnel. Your clinical leadership skills will play a vital role in upholding the highest standards of patient care. Collaboration with community services, CCG and local authorities will be essential for managing patient care and bed flow effectively.
As a key member of the Senior Management Team, you will collaborate with the Head of Acute services to ensure the smooth running of in-patient services, ensuring they are delivered safely, to a high standard, and within budget.
Detailed job description and main responsibilities
The post holder is responsible for the holistic assessment of care needs, the development, implementation and evaluation of programs of care for clients with Mental Health needs referred to the service. At all times upholding and teaching the Recovery model and being mindful of all physical health needs and social inclusion ensuring that anti-stigma is upheld.
The post holder works under the overall supervision of the Ward Manager, but is required to undertake the duties of the post without direct supervision. They are required to teach other nursing and non-nursing staff allocated to their particular area. The post holder is designated as the person to take charge regularly in the absence of the Ward Manager, with prior agreement with that person, undertaking defined managerial responsibility for the ward. In addition, the post holder will be expected to take a key role as lead on the clinical practice within the area, demonstrating good leadership skills whilst ensuring robust standards of care are in place, including physical, mental health and social needs ensuring these are implemented and evaluated.
Patients, relatives, carers and other staff will find the post holder flexible, approachable, helpful and co-operative with other staff, upholding the ethos of good customer care at all times with an awareness of own attitude.

Qualifications
* RMN Part III
* Evidence of further post-registration relevant training /ongoing academic study relevant to area of practice
* Completion of Preceptorship Programme. Practice Assessor and Supervisor
Experience
* Extensive experience working with relevant client group
* Supervision and appraisal of nurses and students
* Understanding and competent in recognising and implementing Safeguarding Policy
* Experience of multi-agency/professional working
Knowledge
* Working knowledge of MHA 1983 and CPA
* Ability to communicate clearly and effectively both orally and in writing
* Ability to work within multidisciplinary team autonomously
