As the Safeguarding Officer at PA Housing, you will hold a pivotal position in safeguarding the well-being and rights of vulnerable individuals. Resident welfare is key in everything we do, in this role you will support the Safeguarding Manager in delivering an outstanding service to our residents. Your responsibilities Immerse yourself in the resident experience, anticipating their requirements and taking proactive steps to meet them. Assessing incoming referrals, directing clients to additional services, and offering support. Providing advocacy, emotional, practical support and information to victims which include but is not limited to legal and civil options, housing, health, and finance. Work within a multi-agency framework consisting of the MARAC and local partnership responses to domestic abuse to keep safety central to all services for victims of domestic abuse. Proactively evaluate the needs and safety of any children associated with residents using the service, addressing identified risks or needs directly, and taking necessary steps to safeguard them. Our ideal candidate At least 3 years' experience in successfully managing Safeguarding cases in a housing or local authority environment Comprehensive knowledge of relevant legislation and best practices pertaining to Safeguarding Adults and Children. Strong verbal and written communication skills, including proficiency in crafting complex reports. Extensive experience of supporting and advocating on behalf of Domestic Abuse Survivor.
