SEND Quality Assurance and Practice Development Officer
Role Responsibility
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an exceptional person to join the SEND Quality Assurance and Practice Development Service in the SEND Department of KCC as a part time (0.4 days / 2 days per week) Quality Assurance and Practice Development Officer.
In this role you will support the SEND Quality Assurance and Practice Development Manager to ensure the SEND service is discharging the Local Authorities statutory duties and is fully compliant with the legislative framework in relation to the statutory EHC Needs assessment process.
You will preferably have a background in education and experience in the Educational Health and Care Plan Needs assessment process, although this is not absolutely essential.
You will have an eye for data and analysis and be able to provide reports on patterns and trends which will support strategic planning, along with a desire for improving the quality of service, processes, and performance.
You will also have a good knowledge of SEND Law and the legal framework of SEN legislation and its application to support our staff in the SEND Service to make improvements in their work by offering training based on the findings of the audits and feedback from our stakeholders.
This post is subject to a Basic Disclosure Application to the Disclosure and Barring Service.
This post is considered by KCC to be a customer-facing position. The Council therefore has a statutory duty under Part 7 of the Immigration Act (2016) to ensure that post holders have a command of spoken English/Welsh sufficient for the effective performance of the job requirements.
