VCare24 offers a bespoke service to our clients to meet each individuals’ requirements. Our Secure transport service operates 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year and operate nationwide. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES: PLEASE NOTE DECISION MAKING MUST BE INCLUDED WITHIN THE PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES 1. To promote and safeguard the welfare of young people and or vulnerable adults. 2. STATUTORY OBLIGATIONS- as per statutory requirements as specified in the CQC Regulations, Quality Standards and Health and Social Care Act 2008, OFSTED, Mental Health Act 1983 and Mental Capacity Act 2005. 3. Must comply and follow VCare24’s Policies and Procedures at all times. 4. Must understand, record and utilise the computerised and manual filing systems. E.g., Clientbridge/jot forms/find my shift 5. Be available for Transport as per your planned shift patterns (and be within 60 minutes of the designated meeting point on these days). 6. Provide a safe and dignified transport service, to all individuals in need of conveyance. Our service includes - Transporting of patients under the Mental Health Act 1983 Placement transfers/supervised contacts Transport of young people with a high risk of absconding/violent or aggressive behaviour Court appearances Transport of informal patients Transport of Dementia and older patients 7. Provides accurate information and assist maintaining up to date, accurate and quality data in order to provide feedback to clients. Required to use both Clientbridge and Jot form systems. 8. Ensure all vehicle safety checks are untaken prior to conveyance and documented. 9. To be aware of and participate in own personal development by attending and contributing to staff meeting, supervisions sessions training courses and other departmental forums. To keep abreast of development within the profession. 10. Refers to line management/safeguarding officer upon any concerns, suspicions, evidence or allegations in relation to child protection in accordance with Children and vulnerable adults Safeguarding Board guidelines to ensure the safety and welfare of the children and vulnerable adults. 11. The postholder must be flexible to ensure the operational needs of VCare24 are met. This includes the undertaking of duties similar nature and responsibility as when required, throughout the various workplaces within VCare24. 12. Provides accurate information and assist maintaining up to date, accurate and quality data on the Clientbridge and jot forms system with reference to case recording and all relevant information where appropriate. 13. Maintain confidentiality within the workplace and ensure all sensitive information is correctly stored. E.g. locked cabinets, under password protection, security bags etc. 14. The Health and Safety at Work Act 1974 and associated legislation places responsibilities for health and safety VCare24, as your employer and you as an employee of VCare24. In addition to the VCare24 overall duties, the post holder has personal responsibility for their own health and safety and that of other employees. GENERAL: The above principal accountabilities are not exhaustive and may vary without changing the character of the job or level of responsibility. All staff will be offered a 40 hour per week contract All staff will be given a shift pattern (during which time the staff will be expected to be on call 24 hours a day during this period and expected to be no more than 60 minutes from the office base or a designated meeting point within York) Any overtime will be paid additionally All staff are required to attend a full in depth 10 day induction training regime. Where both practical and theoretical work is completed in this time.
