Interim Senior Management Accountant
Reading Area - Hybrid Working
We are working with a well-known, rapidly expanding company based in Reading to find them an Interim Management Accountant.
We are looking for someone who knows how to run the month end process for a brilliant business. (System is NetSuite)
This is an exciting opportunity to help transform and steady the finance function, improve internal controls, and drive the company’s financial growth while maintaining accurate reporting and compliance with UK accounting standards.
As part of a growing and dynamic team, you will play a pivotal role in managing all aspects of management accounting, collaborating with the wider business, and supporting key financial processes.
Key Responsibilities:
* Financial Reporting & Month-End Close: Lead the preparation of management accounts across multiple entities, ensuring accurate reporting, timely month-end close, and compliance with financial regulations.
* Budgeting, Forecasting & Analysis: Support budgeting and forecasting processes, providing variance analysis and financial insights to senior stakeholders to drive strategic decision-making.
* Intercompany & Multi-Entity Accounting: Manage complex intercompany transactions, reconciliations, and eliminations, ensuring compliance with transfer pricing policies and private equity reporting requirements.
* Audit, Tax & Compliance: Assist with external audits, VAT filings, corporation tax, and regulatory submissions across different jurisdictions, ensuring accuracy and adherence to evolving financial legislation.
* Process Improvements & Systems Optimisation: Enhance financial controls, automate reporting processes, and support finance system upgrades to improve efficiency and scalability.
* Cash Flow & Commercial Support: Monitor cash flow, support treasury functions, and provide financial input.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
* Qualified Accountant (CIMA, ACCA, or equivalent) with extensive experience in hands-on management accounting.
* Strong Knowledge of UK Accounting Standards: Solid understanding of UK accounting regulations (IFRS and GAAP)
* Advanced Excel Skills: High proficiency in Excel, including advanced functions for data analysis and reporting.
* Finance System Management: Experience with large complex finance systems (NetSuite) and process improvement.
* Communication & Presentation Skills: Excellent communication and presentation abilities, with the capacity to liaise effectively with senior leadership and cross-functional teams.
* Proactive & Solution-Oriented: A proactive, positive attitude with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities, consistently seeking solutions to drive improvements and meet business objectives.
