The Role We are recruiting for a planning engineer on behalf of a leading industrial contractor for a large-scale project at Shotton Paper Mill. This site-based role requires a skilled professional with experience in project scheduling, progress tracking, and performance analysis within industrial MEP projects. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced planning engineer to contribute to a high-profile industrial project, ensuring efficient project execution and timely delivery. Responsibilities Developing and maintaining the project work program in Primavera P6 in coordination with relevant departments. Assigning resources to the schedule in line with project estimates. Continuously updating and maintaining the project schedule to reflect actual progress. Monitoring progress against the work schedule, identifying deviations, and recommending corrective actions. Preparing daily, weekly, and monthly progress reports in line with the project reporting timetable. Evaluating subcontractor progress payments by cross-checking with productivity and stock status reports. Calculating and reporting key project schedule performance metrics. Planning project personnel requirements in collaboration with project management. Supporting change management processes and contributing to claim evaluations. Conducting delay analysis and providing recommendations to mitigate risks. Analyzing project data and ensuring timely communication of performance insights to stakeholders. Requirements Bachelor’s degree in engineering. Minimum of 5 years of MEP planning experience in industrial projects. Strong understanding of project lifecycles, including design, procurement, construction, and commissioning. Proficiency in Primavera P6. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities. Experience working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments. Availability to work Monday to Friday from 7:00 AM to 5:30 PM.
