About the role:
As our Maintenance Supervisor, you'll oversee and direct a team of maintenance staff and contractors. You'll assign the team tasks, set priorities, and provide guidance and support as needed. Your role will also include:
1. Collaborating with external contractors and vendors to ensure timely completion and cost-effectiveness of maintenance projects.
2. Ensuring efficient utilisation of resources to meet maintenance goals and objectives.
3. Working with the Maintenance Engineer to evaluate contractor performance, review deliverables and promptly address any issues or concerns.
4. Overseeing and coordinating the execution of routine maintenance, repairs, and inspections.
5. Performing other general maintenance duties as required.
This role reports to the Maintenance Engineer and is based at our Hornby Distribution Centre in Christchurch and is a full-time role working Monday to Friday.
About you:
You'll be an experienced supervisor or leader who knows how to lead a team; celebrating wins and delivering constructive feedback as necessary. Additional technical certifications or relevant trade qualifications are desired but not essential! Ideally you will also:
1. Have experience in maintenance operations (ideally in a warehousing setting).
2. Be able to motivate and develop a diverse workforce, including contractors.
3. Have strong attention to detail - you'll be one who likes to get things right the first time.
4. Be somewhat tech savvy and keen to learn - you'll pick up new systems quickly.
5. Have a strong knowledge of maintenance principles, procedures, and best practice.
