Yoh have partnered with an exciting and expanding business who work primarily and specialise across the automotive and motorsport industry and play a crucial role in the electric vehicle industry by developing the technology that powers EVs, with a focus on control systems, safety, and system integration. Their work supports the transition to more sustainable transportation solutions. They are looking to grow their team with the addition of a Controls Software Engineer, this position would be for a candidate who is technically skilled, experienced engineer with commercial experience, a strong sense of responsibility, and the ability to work well under pressure. This business is based in Central Oxfordshire and due to the nature of the business and the collaboration across the team, they are looking for candidates to reliably commute to the office and work onsite with the wider team. Responsibilities : Design and development of vehicle-level control systems. This includes working on both high-level architecture and detailed, low-level software development, ensuring the control systems are robust, efficient, and reliable. Conduct safety analysis using methods like FMEA (Failure Modes and Effects Analysis) and HazOP (Hazard and Operability Study). Ensure that the designs comply with relevant automotive safety standards, such as ISO26262. Technical Skills: Software : Proficiency in Matlab, Simulink, C/C++, and PC applications like Visual Studio. Simulation : Involvement in model development, data generation, and analysis. Vehicle Systems : Design of vehicle control system architecture, communications systems (CAN, LIN), and safety analysis (e.g., FMEA, HazOP).
