As Junior Graphic Designer you will be ready to develop existing skills by collaborating with senior creatives on a range of ambitious and innovative, external and internal projects. You will bring ideas to life by producing draft concepts and high-quality final design solutions across multiple channels (print, web, email, social, events) for our audiences in both SMB and Enterprise markets. The work that you produce will be both impactful and engaging for our customers in order to help drive business goals forward. Your creativity and meticulous attention to detail will be crucial. What will I be doing? Support the Creative team through the execution of campaigns and projects across a range of channels including; leaflets, posters, email campaigns, presentations, brochures, website content, social media platforms, and other documents. Understand project concepts and requirements. Offer input to creative meetings, share ideas and confidently present your creative process. Communicate effectively with senior team members to receive feedback and use this to develop and improve on your designs. Collaborate with Content Writers and the wider Marketing team to deliver campaigns and projects within deadlines set. Work closely with the Internal Comms team on producing creative for internal campaigns and events. Support the Sales team with the design of their Powerpoint presentations. Proactively take on new design tasks from the project board upon completion of all other tasks set. Keep up to date with the latest design trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team with a focus on improving our social media output. Daily use of our project management tool (Asana) to keep track of task progress and manage your daily workload. Understand and work to the brand guidelines. Act as a brand guardian for the business ensuring creative consistency and advising others when necessary. What transferable skills will I bring? An organised individual who can manage their workload through our project management tool and keep files tidy using our pre-determined file structure. A team player with the ability to collaborate with others, share design ideas, tips and tricks, offer input into meetings and ask for feedback to improve on concepts. Someone with a friendly demeanour, who is patient, excited by new tasks and prepared to work outside their comfort zone on varied projects with a willingness to learn. Ability to take direction in a fast-paced environment with frequent deadlines and be adaptable to any last minute change of priorities to help the business achieve KPI’s/goals. What will I bring to the role? Experience working on live creative briefs as part of an in-house or agency creative team. Advanced skills in Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign. Knowledge of Adobe After Effect or Premier Pro is a bonus. Strong understanding of design principles and elements (typography, colour theory, layout, file output) with a keen eye for detail. Working knowledge of designing for Microsoft Word and Powerpoint. Research skills for a multitude of design tasks with the ability to present findings in a clear and concise format. Experience in preparing design files to send to print. Use the latest design trends to bring fresh, innovative ideas to the team. What is needed to do the role? A degree in Graphic Design (or equivalent qualification/experience such as an Apprenticeship).
