We currently have a vacancy for a senior Nursing assistant in a busy Trauma Outpatient Department. Main roles include assisting the flow of the clinic, preparing patients for assessment and applying basic splints. There is an opportunity to assist in the plaster room after a probationary period. You will be provided with support from a friendly committed team. Applicants will need to have previous healthcare experience and will have completed the care certificate or equivalent. The post is for 37.5 hours per week Monday - Friday 9 am - 5 pm, with 1 weekend in 4, 8 am -11.45 am Saturday and Sunday.

To demonstrate good communication skills when dealing with patients, relatives and members of the multidisciplinary team utilising sensitivity, empathy and ability to manage conflict.
Planning and organisational skills.
Carry out agreed components of planned patient care in collaboration with a registered practitioner, but without the need for close supervision.
In collaboration with a registered practitioner, use a variety of sources of information to evaluate and re-assess patients care.
Undertake specific clinical activities, relevant to the clinical area, that demonstrate advanced technical and / or caring skills and that require additional training and assessment.
Personal and people development
Acquire, maintain and improve the knowledge and skills required to perform all agreed healthcare activities competently. this involves undertaking in-house training as agreed with the department manager. Take responsibility for the development of others, in collaboration with a registered practitioner.
