Cobbs Garden Surgery is looking to recruit either a GP partner or a salaried GP, with a view to partnership, to join our practice on either a full or part time basis. We are looking for someone who wants to develop their role in the daily clinical management of our varied clinical team to provide a caring and professional service to our predominantly older population. You will be a valued and integral part of team helping shape the future of the team, practice and care provided. The practice population is expanding because of new developments in the town and villages we serve which will see our list size grow from just under 9,000 patients to around 12,000 over the next few years. The post-holder will: deal with a wide range of presenting health care needs in a primary care setting (face to face, telephone, via online messages and video consultations) support clinical colleagues in ensuring the highest standards of care for all patients contribute to planning and decision-making as part of the practice team, including MDT meetings be involved in all aspects of care, supported by a skilled clinical and administration team. About the Candidate All applicants should have/be: Full registration with the GMC Eligible to work immediately as a GP in the UK Completed GP registrar training On NHS GP performers list Understanding of clinical governance and quality issues Understanding the role of teamwork in providing quality services Excellent communication skills, including verbal, written, face-to-face and have active listening skills Recognise people's need for alternative methods of communication and respond accordingly An interest in training new or established doctors would help our aim to become a training practice We offer 6 weeks' annual leave and 1 week’s study leave for a partner, pro rata We use SystmOne and you would ideally have experience using this. Much of the administration function is carried out by our reception and administration team so GPs can delegate and concentrate on what you were trained to do We embrace new ways of working and welcome ideas to change the way our clinicians work, to bring more variety into their days We pride ourselves on having good patient access figures and always score very highly in patient surveys Our current CQC rating is good with an outstanding rating for responsive We prioritise the work/life balance for all our staff. We see the benefit of this as we move into the future We have a higher percentage of older population whom whilst complex, are appreciative of good care We believe ongoing training is vital and encourage staff development.
