The Role:
Join Holland & Barrett as our Marketing Effectiveness Lead, where you'll play a key role in shaping how our £60m annual marketing investment drives brand growth and business performance. This is a high-impact, group-wide strategic role focused on transforming our marketing insight capabilities across the UK, Ireland, and international markets. You'll collaborate cross-functionally with key teams including Brand, Data Science, CRM, Finance, and Commercial to deliver data-led recommendations that optimise marketing performance and fuel our wider business transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Lead the development and execution of a group-wide marketing effectiveness strategy, ensuring alignment across markets and maximising return on H&B's ~£60m annual marketing investment.
2. Partner with Brand & Marketing teams to ensure actionable insights are embedded into decision-making and drive improved marketing outcomes aligned with business goals.
3. Inform budget allocation decisions using tools such as Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), ROI analyses, scenario testing (Optimiser), digital attribution, creative pre-testing, and brand tracking.
4. Work with Data Science on the ongoing evolution of MMM, including quarterly refreshes, insight playback sessions, and continuous improvement planning.
5. Collaborate with Consumer Insight teams to unify brand health metrics (awareness, consideration, perception) and creative testing into a holistic view of marketing performance.
6. Partner with Data and CRM teams to refine customer journeys, performance reporting, attribution models, and marketing measurement strategies.
7. Maximise the impact of H&B's Customer Data Platform (CDP) by working closely with MarTech teams to connect data with marketing outcomes.
8. Champion best-in-class marketing effectiveness practices, sharing learnings across all markets to drive consistency, efficiency, and performance at scale.
Location: This role can be based at either our London or Nuneaton hubs, we operate on a hybrid basis (2 days per week in the office). Some travel may be required between both locations (once a week/fortnightly basis). Some travel to Amsterdam office on an ad hoc basis.
The Person:
1. Demonstrated leadership in marketing analytics or effectiveness roles within retail, FMCG, or data-driven marketing environments, with a proven ability to deliver business impact.
2. Familiarity with advanced marketing measurement methods, including Marketing Mix Modelling (MMM), digital attribution, CRM analytics, and brand health tracking.
3. Proven ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and strategic recommendations, supported by strong storytelling and presentation skills.
4. Track record of implementing new measurement frameworks, tools, or technologies to improve marketing effectiveness and influence business decision-making.
5. Confident stakeholder manager with experience influencing senior leaders and collaborating across cross-functional teams to align on marketing strategy.
6. Technologically proficient with marketing data platforms and a proactive approach to adopting emerging tools and methodologies in marketing analytics.
