Structural Engineer, Building Design Role Overview: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Structural Engineer, Building Design to join the dynamic team in Norwich. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, analysing, and overseeing the construction of various structures, ensuring they are safe, sustainable, and built to the highest standards. This role requires a strong foundation in engineering principles and proficiency in relevant software tools. Structural Engineer, Building Design Key Responsibilities: Design and develop structural systems for buildings and other structures using software such as AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla. Conduct structural analysis using Mathcad and other engineering tools to ensure compliance with safety standards. Collaborate with architects, contractors, and other engineers to create effective system designs that meet project specifications. Manage projects from conception through to completion, ensuring timelines and budgets are adhered to. Prepare detailed drawings and specifications for construction projects using software. Perform site inspections to monitor progress and ensure quality control throughout the construction process. Provide technical support and guidance to junior engineers and project teams as required. Experience and Qualifications: A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering or a related field is essential. Proficiency in design software including AutoCAD, Revit, and Tekla is highly desirable. Experience in design project management is advantageous, with a proven ability to lead projects effectively. Strong mathematical skills are required for structural analysis and system design tasks.
