Ideally you will have a solid understanding of transactional finance, excellent organisational skills, and leadership experience. Previous experience in billing and financial reporting, with private healthcare experience being an advantage. Apply today to join this amazing company Key responsibilities: Reporting and analysis (40% of the role) - Generate weekly and month-end reports on billed amounts to track financial performance and identify potential improvements. - Monthly comparison financial reports for the board of directors and the management accountant. - Generating reports for different meetings which include o Management Meeting (Fortnightly) o HOD meetings (Monthly) o Board (Quarterly) - do not need to attend - Generate monthly reports for consultants, giving them an overview of the business pertaining to them. Monthly Audits and statistics - Spot check 10 invoices raised and sent for the month. This is to ensure all invoices were sent in a timely manner. - The second audit is for Accounts Payable. This is to spot check any discrepancies and to check if the purchase invoices are scanned correctly on Sage Line 50. - Monitor internal statistic datafile and produce a monthly report as part of a staff audit. Invoicing - checks - Communicate with billing team and double check all x-ray and consultant invoices. This is purely for revenue protection to see if the charges raised are correct and that no charges are missed. Assist the team with queries where necessary Pricing (30% of the role): - In charge of creating new prices where and when needed while assuring a good stream of profit for the clinic. - Price comparison with other similar clinics may be asked for. - Negotiating prices with insurers, embassies, external referrers, suppliers, etc. - Once prices are confirmed, in charge of liaising with Meddbase, Healthcode to set this up on their systems to help smooth invoicing. Debt management - Check the aged debt report created by credit control. Query invoices that have gone beyond 60 days. - Assist credit controller with queries they may have with patients, consultants, services, insurers, embassies to resolve and reduce debt. - Communicate with cross function teams and management if there is an increase in self-pay debt. Monitor and try to find ways to reduce this debt. Insurers - Deal with insurer major queries. - Set up price contracts with insurance companies. - Deal with errors pertaining to Healthcode if invoices do not go through or codes are not set up. Queries - Assist on queries from patients, external debtors, consultants, management. Complaints - Attempt to resolve escalated complaints from patients or anyone else. Staff management (20% of the role): - In charge of department meetings. - Will have 2 people reporting to you. Will be in charge of 1-1 meetings, appraisals or team related issues, conflicts (if any). Consultant Pay (10% of the role): - Generating the amount consultants would get paid per month and preparing their statements. - Responsible for any consultant pay related query. Adhoc requirements - Allocate BACS payments on meddbase, post invoices on Sage Line 50, take calls and take payments from patients or assist with queries over the phone. Pre-payment links Covering staff when away - Making sure the basics are done to ensure smooth operation of the department. Daily banking - May need to daily banking once a week. .
