Logistics Supervisor

If you have experience in logistics, a keen eye for detail, and a passion for food safety, we want to hear from you!Overall Purpose of the Role:As the Logistics Supervisor, you will be responsible for managing deliveries from suppliers, ensuring the efficient distribution of goods to various departments, and maintaining compliance with health & safety and food safety regulations. You will also support the Head Chef and Sous Chef in the kitchen, ensuring that all operations run smoothly and meet company standards.Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee the receipt, checking, and organisation of deliveries from all suppliers.
* Collaborate with the Head Kitchen Porter to ensure timely distribution of goods to the kitchen and other departments.
* Ensure compliance with H&S, food safety, and food information regulations at all times.
* Assist in preparing, cooking, and presenting dishes to the required standards.
* Support food order processing and kitchen cleanliness.
* Maintain the correct use of kitchen machinery and equipment.
* Be flexible in supporting other areas of kitchen operations as required.
Essential Skills and Experience:
* Kitchen Experience: Ability to prepare food dishes in line with the head chef’s expectations.
* Logistics Management: Experience managing deliveries, using company and client systems in a similar environment (ideally in contract catering).
* Health & Safety: Sound knowledge of hygiene, health, and safety requirements.
* Team Player: Friendly, helpful, and polite with a positive attitude towards teamwork.
* Self-Motivated: Able to perform well under pressure and maintain high standards in a busy environment.
Desirable Qualifications:
* NVQ Level 2/3 in Professional Cookery or equivalent.
* Basic or Intermediate Food Hygiene (Level 2/3).
