Job summary The successful applicant will spend the majority of their job planned time working within the Intensive Care Unit. We currently work fixed half week blocks; Monday Tuesday Wednesday, or Wednesday, Thursday Friday, on a rolling 4 week cycle.In addition to this will be an on call commitment. Main duties of the job The standard day will consist of a multi disciplinary ward round, followed by clinical work, teaching and administrative duties as dictated by the clinical tempo. We have standard Respiratory and CardioVascular support and Renal support via CVVH/D. We are keen advocates of Trans Thoracic Ultrasound. Time may also be spent within an allied speciality for example Anaesthesia or Emergency Medicine, or working within the regional transfer service.
