Job summary We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated Physiotherapist to fill a new Band 7 post within the Cardiorespiratory Physiotherapy Team at Great Ormond Street Children's Hospital. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced Band 6 Physiotherapist or an existing Band 7 Therapist, with a specialist interest in Paediatric Respiratory Physiotherapy to join our dynamic, forward thinking, and friendly team. The team consists of two Band 8 Physiotherapists, seven Band 7's, two static Band 6's and two general rotational Band 6 Physiotherapists, with a Band 4 Assistant. Main duties of the job This post is based across the Respiratory Ward and Transitional Care Unit, and has responsibility for leading the Respiratory Physiotherapy Service on the Transitional Care Unit. It will involve providing physiotherapy assessment and treatment to general respiratory patients, cystic fibrosis patients, and long-term ventilated patients. Together with providing neurodevelopmental input to long-term ventilated patients on the transitional care unit. Experience in paediatric respiratory physiotherapy including cystic fibrosis and long-term ventilation is essential. You must have specialist knowledge of respiratory adjuncts and airway clearance techniques.
