The toolmaker apprentice is predominantly involved in the highly skilled, complex and specialist detailed work of manufacturing and maintaining the engineering tooling used to produce components, products and assemblies.
Hours: Monday to Friday - Shifts: Monday to Thursday 7:30am - 3:30pm, Friday 7:30am - 2:30pm
39 hours a week

Work
As an apprentice, you’ll work at a company and get hands-on experience. You’ll gain new skills and work alongside experienced staff.
What you’ll do at work
* The use of specialised manufacturing machinery, to manufacture, refurbish and develop precision tooling for both single and multi-stage operation machines.
* Manufacturing, development, and refurbishment of precision tooling.

An apprenticeship includes regular training with a college or other training organisation. At least 20% of your working hours will be spent training or studying.
