Salary will be national minimum wage or more dependent on your experience. Holidays will be 28 days (pro-rata) per year, inclusive of bank holidays.
The purpose of the role is to operate various bag making machines, and ensure they are running at optimum levels of output and quality.
Upon satisfactory completion of training, responsibilities will include:
• Operating various bag making machinery, making necessary adjustments to produce bags to correct specification and quality.
• Completing quality checks and recording results as prescribed.
• Recording production and completing time sheets as prescribed.
• Reporting any maintenance issues promptly.
• Maintaining a tidy and professional work area.
• Weighing, recording and moving any scrap to designated cages for baling or recycling.
• Participating and ensuring a smooth handover between shifts.
In order to be considered you must:
• Have basic Maths skills.
• Be able to read written instructions in English.
• Have good verbal communication and the ability to work as part of a team.
• Have a good attitude to attendance.
• Have a reasonable level of physical fitness.
