About the Role
An exciting vacancy has arisen within Gloucestershire County Council's Corporate Fleet Unit for a Workshop Manager.
You will be part of our expanding workshop team driving forward excellence in quality and efficiency reporting to The Corporate Fleet Unit Operations Manager. You will be responsible for two direct line reports, working together to ensure the provision of a quality, efficient and cost-effective maintenance facility.
You must have a full UK driving licence as you will be required to attend other sites within Gloucestershire County, as necessary. This role is based in our Equipment workshop and due to the nature of the role does not support remote working.
Experience of managing a large fleet & engineering department, in a Blue Light or equivalent environment, is essential, together with a proven track record of maintaining high quality standards and adherence to procedure, ensuring staff have the necessary skills and equipment to meet the changing demands.
About You
You will have a friendly personality with a professional approach to colleagues and workloads. Be keen to work for a busy department playing a pivotal role within the team workshop setting. We pride ourselves on working closely together to achieve the best outcomes.
You will need to be efficient with time management whilst ensuring communication and key timeframes are managed appropriately, ensuring solutions are delivered to dynamic situations. Ideally, applicants will have experience and disciplines in multiple areas of a busy fleet environment and equipment specialists.
