Hours: 37 hours per week (Monday – Sunday)
About the Role:
Do you want to be part of a dynamic and innovative team? Do you want to work for an organisation that will encourage and nurture your personal development?
Oasis Community Housing provides support to those who are homeless or at risk of becoming homeless. Our Assessment Centre ‘58:7 project’ is more than just a place to get rough sleepers off the street. It is a place of safety; where someone finds self-worth and the belief that they deserve a better future. We pride ourselves on having a solution-focused approach regarding supporting those we serve. We aim to support everyone to move towards the future that they want and to learn what can be done differently by using their existing skills, strategies, and ideas.
The Oasis Community Housing 58:7 project is a 6-bedded home for homeless males. The project is unique and the first of its kind in the area. It prides itself on being a Psychologically Informed Environment (PIE). The successful candidate will be responsible for welcoming individuals referred into the project, providing an induction into the service, and making them feel welcome and safe. We ask our staff to journey with the people we serve and continue to support them when they have moved on.
The Project Worker role is a great opportunity for someone who wants to champion our mission to end homelessness. We are looking for someone who has a heart for the people we serve; the type of person who would not just walk past a homeless person in the street without wanting to reach out and do something.
Experience of working in this field or the care sector would be desirable but it is not essential. We believe that this is a vocation, not just a job, and this would be a good opportunity for someone who would like to get into this line of work, or for someone who is looking for a career change.
Closing date for applications is Friday 7th June 2024
