I am working on behalf of an education firm that is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance and Payroll Officer.
This is a permanent role, offering a salary between £24,382 and £26,352, depending on experience, with 30 hours per week during term time plus 2 additional weeks.
Key Responsibilities:
* Preparation and submission of the monthly payroll file, liaising with an external payroll provider.
* Administration of Teacherâs Pensions and Local Government Pensions, ensuring completion of monthly reports.
* Handling payroll-related queries and pension auto-enrolments.
* Managing income, petty cash reconciliations, and school payment systems such as ParentPay.
* Providing monthly budget reports and maintaining the schoolâs asset register.
* Assisting with year-end reconciliations and audit reports.
Ideal Candidate:
* Experience in a finance or payroll role (education sector experience is desirable but not essential).
* Proficiency in accounting systems and MS Excel.
* Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to meet deadlines.
