This role will be based in Cumbria at offices based in Kendal or Cockermouth and will offer hybrid working options.

About the Principal Electrical Engineer Role
As Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will work closely with the Technical Director to support and lead the wider team in providing a variety of services including those relating to building pathology, design, project management, building surveys and contract administration as well as producing early design advice through to detailed electrical services design.
Other responsibilities include:
• Advise on Health and Safety issues, fire safety and sustainability through the design and construction period of projects.
• Working on projects, ensuring the buildings are safe, modern and efficient.
• Considering the Construction Design and Management Regulations.
• Maintaining an annual programme of Continuing Professional Development (CPD)
• Deliver engineering solutions to meet client’s budgets and programmes.
About You – The Principal Electrical Engineer
As Principal Electrical Building Services Engineer, you will have the ability to manage your workload effectively, with the ability to appreciate complex situations and communicate clearly when working closely with other disciplines.
Other requirements include:
• Hold a degree or HNC in Building Services/Electrical Engineering with post qualification experience.
• Have substantial industry experience working as a senior engineer.
• Have experience preparing electrical surveys and conditioning survey reports.
• Experience investigating and analysing services defects to develop solutions to system failure.
• Ability to produce RIBA stage electrical design and drawings, technical specifications, schedules of works and other documents to high standards in conjunction with internal and external design disciplines.
• Demonstrate knowledge of NEC and JCT contracts.
• Hold a full UK driving licence with the ability to travel.
