Qualifications
Wood Machining is available as an apprenticeship or part-time course. Good GCSEs are recommended for measurements and calculations. At Leeds College of Building entry is via an assessment or for part-time courses a relevant qualification.
Salary
Newly trained wood machinists can earn £17,000 - £20,000
Trained wood machinists with experience can earn £20,000 - £35,000
