As Internal Audit Manager, you will: Develop & Execute Audit Plan – Design and implement a risk-based internal audit plan in collaboration with the Head of Business Support, Governance & Risk. Conduct Comprehensive Audits – Perform financial, operational, clinical compliance, and systems audits to assess internal controls and identify areas for improvement. Risk Identification & Mitigation – Evaluate internal controls, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions to strengthen governance and compliance. Audit Reporting & Recommendations – Deliver detailed and actionable audit reports, presenting findings and suggested improvements to relevant committees and stakeholders. Regulatory Compliance & External Audit Support – Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements and collaborate with external auditors for statutory audits and assurance activities. Governance & Whistleblowing Oversight – Act as an independent point of contact for whistleblowing and compliance matters, while fulfilling responsibilities as Money Laundering Reporting Officer (MLRO) and Anti-Bribery & Corruption Officer (A-B & CO). We’re seeking someone with: Internal Audit & Risk Management Expertise – Proven experience in conducting audits and assessing risk management frameworks, ideally within the charity, non-profit, or public sector. Governance & Control Knowledge – Strong understanding of governance, risk, and internal control frameworks, with the ability to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements. Analytical & Problem-Solving Skills – Excellent ability to identify risk areas, analyse audit findings, and propose practical solutions to enhance operational effectiveness. Communication & Stakeholder Engagement – Strong written and verbal communication skills, with experience presenting audit findings to senior leadership and governance committees. Independence & Objectivity – Ability to work autonomously while maintaining impartiality, ensuring the integrity of audit and risk assessments.
