We are now looking for a
Quality Engineer
to join our team working for a better future. The position is permanent, and the preferred location is Havant, UK.
What you will be doing
Working with the Quality team and other functions to ensure the overall quality of our products and solutions provided to our customers. This will include producing and reviewing quality related documentation; supporting customer and Shipping Classification Society visits and engaging with suppliers to sustain and improve product quality.
As Quality Engineer, your work will focus on these responsibilities:
1. Reviewing material certification against material specifications, non-destructive examination and material testing reports
2. Surveying seal assemblies during manufacture, at test and prior to packing
3. Writing reports to satisfy customer contracts, to include Factory Acceptance Tests, material
4. certification, dimensional reporting etc.
5. Evaluating data and identify recurring problems to define necessary corrective and preventive actions.
6. Participating in internal / external quality issues.
7. Supporting customer complaint and warranty investigations
8. Supporting Internal NCR investigations
9. Carry out internal audits as required
10. Supporting continual improvement activities
11. Supporting product and project delivery quality planning activities
12. Ensuring that all statutory and regulatory Health & Safety requirements are implemented locally
To be successful in this role, we expect you to have:
13. Experience as a Quality Engineer or in a similar role.
14. Experience and knowledge of ISO 9001
15. Experience of conducting audits
16. Stakeholder management skills
17. Strong verbal communication, technical writing, and process improvement skills
18. Experience of working within a highly regulated environment
19. Knowledge of tools, concepts and methodologies of Quality Assurance, engineering and manufacturing for example; root cause analysis, 8D, pareto, FMECA
In this role, some travel is required to meet with our customers and suppliers primarily in the UK but occasionally overseas. Thus, we hope you to be ready to travel when required.
