Job Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Bookkeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, managing accounts payable, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires proficiency in accounting software and a strong understanding of bookkeeping principles. The successful applicant will play a crucial role in supporting our financial operations and contributing to the overall success of the organisation.
Duties
1. Maintain accurate financial records by recording all transactions in the accounting system.
2. Manage accounts payable, ensuring timely processing of invoices and payments.
3. Reconcile bank statements and ensure all discrepancies are addressed promptly.
4. Prepare monthly financial reports, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets.
5. Assist with budgeting and forecasting activities as required.
6. Collaborate with external auditors during the annual audit process.
7. Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and standards.
8. Provide support for other financial tasks as needed, including payroll processing and tax preparation.
Requirements
1. Proven experience as a Bookkeeper or in a similar role.
2. Proficiency in accounting software such as Sage is essential.
3. Strong understanding of accounts payable processes and general bookkeeping principles.
4. Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills.
5. Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks effectively.
6. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.
7. A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is preferred but not mandatory.
