The role is to lead in the provision of Occupational Therapy (OT) interventions within the PROSPER Intensive Interventions & Risk Management Service (IIRMS) as part of the Offender Personality Disorder (OPD) pathway - a joint partnership service between Health and Probation. PROSPER works within a psychological, trauma-informed framework to aid the recovery of men and women transitioning from prison/secure hospitals to community settings, with the MDT providing a holisticapproach to recovery. Main duties of the job The role involves managing a caseload of service users with complex needs, using evidence based/service user centred principles to assess, plan, implement and evaluate interventions. As part of the role as a lead clinician, you will be responsible for assessment and completion of comprehensive formulation of risk and treatment needs. Within the service, you will work alongside the MDT in the development and delivery of multi-modal group and 1:1 therapeutic interventions; provide specialist assessments to those being released from prison/secure hospitals, as required; undertake pre-release sessions with men and women in prisons/secure hospitals as part of the early engagement element of the IIRMS model and support the transition from secure settings to community; work in partnership with the probation service and housing colleagues to resettle service users into community living, developing occupational identity and skills. You will also provide support, supervision and leadership within the MDT, as required; and deliver services across a range of venues and locations within the West Midlands community as required, working from the PROSPER Hub at the Specialist Community Services Hub on the Ardenleigh site in Erdington.
