The ideal candidate will demonstrate initiative in problem-solving and adaptability to meet new challenges positively and proactively. This role is crucial in maintaining our corporate visual merchandising standards across all retail stores as well as managing ad hoc projects, as they arise.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Manage the Visual Merchandising department and team, ensuring high levels of enthusiasm and commitment.
2. Lead the creative direction and concept development for window display schemes in both national and international locations.
3. Create a positive and engaging first impression of the product range for customers through effective merchandising.
4. Install window displays and manage in-store merchandising to enhance the customer experience.
5. Collaborate with design, buying, and marketing teams to forecast key looks/themes that will inform future visual merchandising strategies.
6. Uphold the company image by developing and communicating window schemes and in-store displays to VW owned stores, franchises, and shop-in-shops worldwide.
7. Allocate budgets for all window schemes and ensure financial adherence.
8. Compile and update visuals regularly to maintain the existing merchandising manual.
9. Organize and conduct training sessions to implement company guidelines on visual merchandising, ensuring adherence by all staff members.
10. Travel as required to VW retail locations to provide feedback to management and monitor compliance with visual merchandising standards.

DESIRED EXPERIENCE
1. Previous luxury fashion experience in a senior visual merchandising role.
2. Proven ability to write and execute visual merchandising guidelines.
3. Strong visual merchandising skills and experience, with a creative approach to driving business through fashion and commerciality.
4. Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
5. Proficiency in relevant design software; 3D design skills are a plus.
6. Ability to maintain flexibility in working hours, including weekends, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
7. Strong organizational skills to manage self and the team effectively to meet deadlines.
8. Ability to build strong rapport with third parties and team members (immediate and wider team).
