A great new opportunity has arisen to join our Finance Team. You will report to the Management Accountant and be responsible for the Purchase / Sales Ledger function and supporting the finance department so we can effectively serve our members.
The Accounts Assistants Key Tasks:
The role will require the job holder to be able to work both on their own initiative and under guidance from others, they will need to be able to work flexibly within the team, helping to support colleagues and managers with a variety of work.
Purchase ledger processing
Sales ledger processing
Collate and organise payment runs
Payment allocation
Claims payment processing
Credit control
Other Administration tasks as required
Handling Accounts Queries
Statement Reconciliations
Liaising with other departments on the phone and via Teams
Check Accounts emails inbox and action any correspondence.
Filing and other ad hoc duties as and when required
Good general IT skills and a working understanding of Excel.
What are we looking for?
The role holder will ideally be AAT qualified, and fulfil the below criteria
Sage experience desirable but not essential
Attention to detail and accuracy
Can do attitude
Numerate
Strong IT skills, with experience of Microsoft Office
Strong organisation and communication skills
Comfortable with the concepts of Debits and Credits
Ability to work to strict deadlines
Ability to work with a diverse team across the business
