The Field Service Engineer (FSE) provides world class support to Cepheid's UK customers including installing, maintaining and repairing the Cepheid platform of molecular diagnostic analysers. This role will be primarily based in the south of the UK including frequent travel into central London with occasional travel outside this region. In this role, you will have the opportunity to: - Join a team of FSE's, technical support staff and administrative personnel providing on-site support to customers in the UK. - After a comprehensive training program travel to customers sites to perform installations, maintenance and repairs on Cepheid's platforms and associated software packages. - Work alongside colleagues from the wider Cepheid organisation to identify and deliver solutions for our customers. - Provide world class customer support maintaining Cepheid's industry leading customer satisfaction rating. The essential requirements of the job include: - Hold a technical qualification (for example BTEC or City & Guilds) related to a technical or science subject, or similar. - A willingness to travel, often at short notice, to support customers in different UK customer locations, primarily in the south of the UK and into central London. - An interest in working in a technical environment diagnosing and supporting medical diagnostic devices and their users. It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in: - A customer facing field based role within the medical industry, for instance a Field Service Engineer, Applications Scientist (or similar) role.
