Our client based in New Milton is going through a strong period of growth and needs to add an experienced PCB Technician to their busy production team, ideally IPC trained / Certified. We are looking for applicants who have solid work experience in electro-mechanical assembly and build environments. You will need good hand-soldering skills (components and wires to PCBs) and will ideally have experience of building and testing sub-assemblies. Some surface mount (hand-placement and machine) would be a distinct advantage; however, job-specific training will be given to someone who shows the right aptitude.
Key Responsibilities:
You must also be able to evidence the following experience:
* A good understanding of ESD prevention is an essential requirement for the role
* High-quality hand soldering in both through-hole & surface mount techniques
* Experience in rework, repair, and modifications
* Previous experience in electronic or electro–mechanical manufacturing & light assembly
* Disciplined, organized, with a can-do attitude and able to work independently
Within the role, you will be expected to liaise with colleagues to ensure all products are completed correctly and display a willingness to learn and develop new skills. This is a permanent position that requires an immediate start; starting salary will be up to £32,000 per annum dependent on certification, skills, and experience.
