In this role you will be responsible for the effective operational delivery within a specialty portfolio. It's a varied, extensive but rewarding role.
Central to this is the delivery and improvement of national operational target performance, ensuring patients receive safe, efficient, and timely care.

2. Respond to opportunities for improvement, efficiencies and national guidance within the specialty portfolio as part of the triumvirate, taking action and utilising benchmarking and data available, such as Getting It Right First Time (GIRFT) and Model Hospital. This includes developing business cases where relevant and participating in task and finish projects.
3. To participate in the daily bed capacity rota as a point of escalation, responsible for supporting the effective flow of elective and emergency patients within the Division.
4. To be responsible for leading the annual business planning process for their specialty portfolio and contribute to the division's annual business plan, with support from the Deputy Divisional Director of Operations as required.
