As we continue to grow, we are seeking a Business Development, Marketing & Communications Manager to drive our brand, develop new opportunities, enhance client engagement, and strengthen external and internal communications. Role Overview: The Business Development and Marketing Manager will lead strategic initiatives to grow the company’s market presence, identify new business opportunities, carryout deep dives into differing market sectors, enhance stakeholder communications, and promote brand awareness. This role requires a dynamic, strategic thinker with expertise in the construction, engineering, and sustainability sectors, along with strong communication and relationship-building skills. Key Responsibilities: Business Development: • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities in building services, MEP (mechanical, electrical, plumbing), energy efficiency, and sustainability consulting. • Build and maintain relationships with architects, developers, contractors, project managers, local authorities, and corporate clients. • Develop and execute a business development strategy to expand market presence and revenue. • Development, production and updating inspiring marketing collateral documents. • Lead key proposal writing, bid submissions, and tender processes to secure projects. • Conduct market research to identify industry trends, emerging technologies, and competitor activities. • Represent the company at networking events, conferences, and trade shows to generate leads and industry partnerships. Marketing & Brand Strategy: • Develop and implement a marketing strategy that strengthens brand visibility and market positioning. • Manage digital marketing efforts, including website, SEO, social media to include regular media postings, email campaigns, and content creation. • Develop compelling case studies, blogs, whitepapers, and thought leadership pieces to showcase expertise and projects. • Plan and execute targeted marketing campaigns to engage key decision-makers in the construction and sustainability sectors. • Work closely with internal teams to align brand messaging and corporate identity across all platforms. Communications & Public Relations: • Lead internal and external communications, ensuring clear, consistent messaging. • Develop press releases, newsletters, and corporate reports to enhance stakeholder engagement. • Act as the main point of contact for media relations, handling press inquiries and opportunities. • Oversee corporate communications strategies, including messaging for sustainability initiatives and ESG (Environmental, Social, and Governance) reporting. • Foster strong employee and client communications, ensuring engagement and alignment with company values. Key Skills & Experience: • Proven track record in business development, marketing, and communications within building services, construction, or sustainability sectors using innovative and blue sky thinking to differentiate us from the competition. • Strong understanding of sustainable building practices, energy efficiency, and regulatory frameworks. • Excellent networking, relationship-building, and negotiation skills. • Experience with bid writing, proposals, and tender management. • Strong digital marketing expertise, including SEO, social media, email marketing, and content strategy. • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with experience in PR, corporate communications, and stakeholder engagement. • Ability to manage multiple projects and collaborate across teams. • Knowledge of CRM systems, data-driven marketing strategies, and public relations tools is a plus. • Degree or similar qualifications in Business, Marketing, Graphical Design, Communications with strong understanding of Engineering, Sustainability, or a related field preferred.
