Tree Surveyor / Assistant Arboricultural Consultant Responsibilities: As Tree Surveyor / Assistant Arboricultural Consultant for Maydencroft Limited your principal role will be the delivery of Tree Safety Inspections and Arboricultural Consultancy works on behalf of our clients. This will involve the following key tasks; Undertaking an ongoing programme of Tree Safety Inspections for various clients; Conducting detailed surveys and assessments of trees, which may involve examining tree health, stability, structural integrity, and risk assessment. Use of Tree Management Software Contribution to BS 5837 Arboricultural Surveys & Reports for planning purposes; Arboricultural Clerk of Works for development projects; Assisting with PiCUS and Resistograph surveys for internal decay detection Working with our Arboricultural teams to guide the delivery of works on the ground; Applications for Tree Preservation Orders and advising on tree-related regulations within conservation areas; Project Management and administration, including filing, tracking project progress, and client communication. Essential Skills and Experience: A degree or minimum Level 3 Arboricultural (or related field) qualification; Able to demonstrate good all-round arboricultural knowledge; Excellent verbal communication skills and able to deal directly with clients; Confident project management skills and the ability to manage project finances; Strong IT skills and the ability to use tree management software; Full, clean UK driving licence and willingness to travel; Desirable Skills and Experience Lantra Professional Tree Inspector qualification; At least 3 years’ experience working in the arboricultural industry; Use of Tree Management Software such as Ezytreev, Arbortrack and Pear Technology; Experience undertaking BS 5837 surveys and detailed tree condition reports; Technical proficiency in specialist software such as AutoCAD or similar mapping software; Membership of the Arboricultural Association; Knowledge and understanding about ecology and protected species. Working days/hours: Standard working hours will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with the option to agree starting and finishing times.
