We’re looking for a dynamic, confident and highly motivated individual to join our DevOps team within the Technology Development Division to develop and support new technology applications and business solutions driven by the implementation of the Council’s DigitalNL and SmartNL programmes - you will be working within Drupal, MS Dynamics, MS Power Platform, Azure DevOps and ServiceNow environments.
You should have significant experience of ICT systems development gained in a business applications development and support environment; with capability for interpreting and defining customer requirements and extended practical experience of development in core council product set. You should have practical experience of customisation and integration of enterprise applications, including user experience design, database administration, content management systems and operating to a DevOps culture.
You must demonstrate evidence of continuous professional development and be educated to degree/SVQ4/HND standard or equivalent in a relevant discipline, with training/certification in some of the following application development environments and languages - Drupal/PHP, MS Dynamics and Power Platform applications, Robotic Process Automation, scripting languages (e.g. Python, Powershell, Javascript), and ServiceNow application and integrations.
You should have significant knowledge and technical understanding of ICT technologies and integration, with demonstrable technical analytical and problem-solving skills, and knowledge of procurement and tendering exercises.
You should have an open and enquiring mind adaptable to change and innovation, be confident and self-motivated and have the capability to work to targets and react appropriately and quickly to challenges.
You will be joining a dynamic and flexible team within Business and Digital who currently operate a hybrid model of home-working and office-based work at the Civic Centre offices in Motherwell.

* Monday - Thursday 08:45am to 16:45pm
* Friday 08:45am to 16:15pm

*For all casual/sessional roles, you will receive 12.1% of your hourly rate for every hour worked in total recompense for annual leave, including public holidays. These rates will be indicated separately on your payslip. You will only be paid for the hours that you work.
